Description of Artwork:
Lithograph Print
The lithograph art print has been the standard art reproduction
method for the past several hundred years and is produced from
a master's printer's plate on a printing press.
Artists/Printers Proof
This is the term for the first sheets to leave the printer's press that the artist
and printer check for color and quality prior to the printing of the lithograph
print. Normally a 50 sheet run, the printer's proof is valued higher than the
standard lithograph print, as it is the first printed.
Giclee Art Print
The art of fine art printing has become even more precise with the advent of
the revolutionary giclee (gee-clay) printing process. For brilliant, exquisite
color and razor sharp detail, it is unsurpassed. This type of art reproduction
is quickly becoming the new standard of the art industry and is widely embraced
for its quality by major museums, galleries, publishers and artists. A giclee
print is simply the closest duplication of an original piece of artwork that
is humanly, mechanically or technically possible when printed on pH cottom rag
paper or artist canvas.
The word giclee itself is French and means spurt or squirt, in this case, meaning
"spray of ink". Once completed, an image is comprised of literally billions of
droplets of ink. The latest giclee printing technology enhanced the standard
4 color process to an 8 color process. The resulting print has no perceptible
dot pattern, an endless array of richly-saturated color and every nuance of the
original image. The most archival, water based light-fast inks available in the
world are used. The lastest inks offer a 150 year light fastness and UV resistance
under museum archival conditions. |

oversized flat shipping.
*A flat rate of $18.00 will be charged for unframed prints and a $38.00 flat
rate will be charged for framed prints.
*Shipping insurance (if requested) will be $11.00 on each print.
*Applicable sales tax for NC residents.
Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery from order/payment date.
All caution is taken in packaging and shipping, but Nature's Rivals,
Inc. is not responsible for damage during shipping. Insurance is recommended
and will cover replacement of damaged items.
